Volga Bridge

The opening of the Volga Bridge took place on August 25, 1963, with a large crowd of people. Connects the left-bank and right-bank parts of the city.

The idea of building a bridge appeared in the pre-war years during the creation of the Rybinsk reservoir. In 1938, the first work began on the installation of concrete pillars. Then the project was abandoned, and construction resumed only in the late 1950s. Specialists from Kazan built it. The bridge stands on 7 pillars, 2 on the shore and 5 in the water. The bridge is six-span, the width of the navigable span is 128m.

The main attraction of the Yaroslavl region is a constellation of 12 ancient cities: Yaroslavl, Gavrilov-Yam, Danilov, Lyubim, Myshkin, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Poshekhonye, Rostov the Great, Rybinsk, Tutaev, Uglich and the flooded Mologa. Each of them has its own unique appearance and atmosphere.
