The monument is a memorial to the Danilovite soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War. Eternal flame.

The memorial was opened on February 23, 1968, to mark the 50th anniversary of the Soviet Army.

In the center of the complex there is a monument to an unknown soldier hugging a rescued girl.

On May 8, 1975, memorial plaques with the names of the Danilovites who fell during the Second World War and the Alley of Heroes of the Soviet Union, natives of the city of Danilovo and the Danilovsky district, were installed.

On May 8, 1985, the Eternal Flame of Memory and Glory was lit.

The main attraction of the Yaroslavl region is a constellation of 12 ancient cities: Yaroslavl, Gavrilov-Yam, Danilov, Lyubim, Myshkin, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Poshekhonye, Rostov the Great, Rybinsk, Tutaev, Uglich and the flooded Mologa. Each of them has its own unique appearance and atmosphere.
