The place of the park is the territory where the "cattle—racing" fair, which made Danilov famous, used to take place. Over time, the square lost its trade status, and in 1965 it was decided to equip a recreation area for citizens here. Trees and shrubs were planted on the site of the future park by the forces of public utilities, the public, pioneers and Komsomol members.
In 2017, a three-ton cast-iron monument to a horse was erected in the park. By order of the city administration, a model of the monument was made by a local sculptor, artist Vladimir Sereda. Then they were cast from cast iron at the Danilovsky plant. A life-size horse is captured at the moment of running.
