Education and enlightenment
February 1, 1887: The first educational institution, the two—grade college of the Ministry of National Education, was opened. Previously, there was a zemstvo school in the village. The funds for the construction of the building were raised by the residents themselves.
February 1, 1896: The first free national library appeared, founded thanks to the efforts of the local merchants and peasant brotherhood. Today, this library is a branch of the Poshekhonsky Centralized Library System.
The beginning of the 20th century: The school received a new impetus for development, becoming a seven—year school, and later a secondary school, located in the building of a former noble estate. The new modern school building was built in 1978.

The Church of the Nativity, built in 1841. This majestic stone five-domed church preserves the memory of the faithful peasants who raised the necessary funds for its construction. There are three altars located here: the central one is dedicated to the Nativity of Christ, two side altars are dedicated to the Holy Archangel Michael and the Holy Prophet Elijah.
St. Nicholas wooden Church. It is located in the cemetery and dates back to the beginning of the 20th century (1902). The church was built at the expense of honorary citizen and famous businessman Alexander Potapovich Bormosov.
A manor house with a park. This ensemble is located in the center of the village and represents an example of architecture of the late 19th century. The park is decorated with ancient trees and magnificent views of the surrounding area.
