The nature of the Nekrasovsky region is amazing and beautiful. The village of Nekrasovskoye, a former settlement of Bolshye Soli, is located on the banks of the Great Volga and Solonitsa rivers. It is no coincidence that a Children's art school is being born on such a picturesque land rich in antiquity and cultural traditions.
MOU DOD Nekrasovskaya Children's Art School opened its doors on September 17, 1981. The founder and first head of the school was an artist-teacher, Ivan Mikhailovich Astashkin, a 1955 graduate of the Yaroslavl Art College. Since June 1993, the school has been located in a building at 36 Embankment Street. Since 2011, the school has been named after its founder and first director, Ivan Mikhailovich Astashkin.
