The history of the children's art school No. 10 dates back to 1965. From the day of its foundation until 2016, the school was headed by Natalia Vasilyevna Sokolova, an Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation, a head of the highest category, awarded the badge "For Achievement in Culture", an honorary badge of the III degree of the city of Yaroslavl, a veteran of labor, a person devoted to children, walking beside them all her life. Since November 2020, the school has been headed by Elena Gennadievna Petrushova. She managed to rally a team of like-minded people around her, people who give their best spiritual qualities to children.
The school employs 29 wonderful teachers, professionals in their field. More than 380 children between the ages of 4 and 17 study in well-equipped classrooms for individual and group classes.
Students are winners of city, regional, interregional, and international competitions and festivals.
In 2025, the school celebrated its 60th anniversary.
