Polytechnic Museum "The Wonderful World of Mechanisms and Machines"
The exposition of the polytechnic museum "The Wonderful World of Mechanisms and Machines", opened in 2013, presents the simplest mechanisms that were actively used in peasant life, including among the peasants of the village of Vyatsky: a wool carver, straw cutters, looms and other useful things.
The amazing inventions of mankind are the telephone, arithmometers and calculators, typewriters, unique clockwork mechanisms, Laterna magica or magic lantern, diascopes, the first Soviet receivers, televisions and tape recorders. The first Soviet household appliances are presented in a separate room. Like many exhibits, they are active in the museum.
The main attraction of the Yaroslavl region is a constellation of 12 ancient cities: Yaroslavl, Gavrilov-Yam, Danilov, Lyubim, Myshkin, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Poshekhonye, Rostov the Great, Rybinsk, Tutaev, Uglich and the flooded Mologa. Each of them has its own unique appearance and atmosphere.
