Yaroslavl Zoo is the first landscape–type zoo in Russia and the CIS, where you can get in touch with the beautiful without leaving the city. It was opened in 2008. It contains more than 3,000 animals. The vast area – more than 123 hectares – allows animals to be kept in conditions as close to natural as possible. In 2018, Yaroslavl Zoo entered the top 10 most visited zoos in Russia.
The convenient location, proximity to the city center, a well-developed transport network, the presence of a reservoir, a forest park with an area of 59 hectares create excellent conditions for a relaxing holiday.
