Music and Time Museum

In November 1993, the first private museum in the Russian Federation, Music and Time, was opened in the most beautiful part of Yaroslavl on the territory of the former estate of merchant Vakhromeev.

The museum was based on the collection of John Mostoslavsky, who collected objects of material and spiritual culture for 50 years, which marked the beginning of the universal exposition of the museum.

Currently, a complex of 3 exhibitions is presented on the territory of the estate: "Music and Time", "Russian and foreign porcelain of the late 19th – 20th century", as well as "Kaslin casting, samovars".

The museum has a collection of antique musical instruments and mechanisms (gramophones, gramophones, harmoniums, music boxes, hurdy-gurdy), clocks (wall, table, floor, fireplace, carriage), irons.

The main attraction of the Yaroslavl region is a constellation of 12 ancient cities: Yaroslavl, Gavrilov-Yam, Danilov, Lyubim, Myshkin, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Poshekhonye, Rostov the Great, Rybinsk, Tutaev, Uglich and the flooded Mologa. Each of them has its own unique appearance and atmosphere.
