Nekouz Cultural and Ethnographic Center

The Nekouz Cultural and Ethnographic center has become a continuation of the traditions of the regional Museum of Local Lore, which from 1967 until 2018 was located within the walls of the regional house of culture. Over the years, interesting historical and local history material has been accumulated. The numerous exhibits collected in the museum tell about people who made a huge contribution to the development of the Nekouz land, reflect the life and way of life of peasants of the pre-revolutionary era, give an idea of noble estates and their owners, tell about industrial and agricultural production in the area.

In 2019, the center moved to a separate building, which made it possible to equip several exhibition halls, and the center began to carry out new types of cultural and leisure activities.

The main attraction of the Yaroslavl region is a constellation of 12 ancient cities: Yaroslavl, Gavrilov-Yam, Danilov, Lyubim, Myshkin, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Poshekhonye, Rostov the Great, Rybinsk, Tutaev, Uglich and the flooded Mologa. Each of them has its own unique appearance and atmosphere.
