The House Museum of A. A. Ukhtomsky

The Memorial House Museum of Academician Alexei Alekseevich Ukhtomsky was opened in the city of Rybinsk on September 20, 1990. The future scientist spent his childhood and adolescence in the house where the museum is located.

The museum staff studies the scientific heritage of A. A. Ukhtomsky, the works of the scientist, and developments in the field of social, moral, ethical, and religious issues. The House Museum is actively working to introduce the ideas of A. A. Ukhtomsky into the curricula of educational institutions in the city and the region.

A separate area in the museum is the work of the exhibition complex. The staff is engaged in the creation of exhibitions illustrating the scientific and research component of the history of Rybinsk.

The main attraction of the Yaroslavl region is a constellation of 12 ancient cities: Yaroslavl, Gavrilov-Yam, Danilov, Lyubim, Myshkin, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Poshekhonye, Rostov the Great, Rybinsk, Tutaev, Uglich and the flooded Mologa. Each of them has its own unique appearance and atmosphere.
