There is a city pier on the embankment, where white cruise ships are moored. Walking along the shore, you can watch them hurry to embark on a new journey or prepare to disembark passengers. Opposite the pier stands the 1762 church of the Holy Martyrs Florus and Laurus, made in the style of Naryshkin, or Moscow Baroque, one of the brightest representatives of which is the Church of the Intercession in the Novodevichy Monastery.
Another notable building is the Church of Tsarevich Dmitry on Blood, built in 1692 on the site of the tragic death of Ivan the Terrible's son. If you look at the temple from the pier, you can see one of the canonical views of the city.
At the confluence of the ancient Kamensky and Volga streams, Victory City Park with paved alleys and flower gardens adjoins the embankment. Boat and bicycle rentals are available in the park. In the summer, small musical evenings with the participation of a brass band are held here.
The unusual panorama is completed by the Uglichskaya GRES, which was built by prisoners of the Gulag camp. Today, the Museum of Hydraulic Engineering is located within its walls, and the dam offers a picturesque view of the historical part of the city and the Volga embankment.
Volzhskaya embankment is equipped with a walking path with circular viewing platforms. Modern sculptures of two lions are installed next to the Moscow Hotel. In the evening, the lighting is turned on on the embankment.
