The participants of the walk, together with a professional guide, will immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the past, learn interesting facts and stories about the life of the local merchants.

The uniqueness of the project lies in the theatrical scenes from the life of merchants, tasting of real Rybinsk kvass and buns according to the recipe of the XX century. The surroundings, costumes, speech – in the historical center of the city, all this looks as natural as possible.

  • 1. Rybinsk State Historical, Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve

    The Rybinsk State Historical, Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve is the main attraction of the ancient Volga city. It is located in the building of the New Grain Exchange, designed by Moscow architect A.V. Ivanov on the high bank of the Volga River in 1912 in the form of fabulously intricate "Old Russian chambers"

    The museum in Rybinsk was established on the initiative of members of the Rybinsk branch of the Yaroslavl Natural History Society in 1910 based on the materials of V. S. Mikhalkov (1817-1900), a representative of the oldest noble family, a bibliophile and collector, the owner of the Petrovskoye estate located in the suburbs.

    The basis of the art collection is represented by the works of famous masters of the Russian school of the XVIII – early XX century: I. Ya. Vishnyakov, I. K. Aivazovsky, Z. E. Serebryakova. The portrait gallery of Counts Musin-Pushkin is widely represented.

    The materials of the museum's collections make it possible to regularly organize thematic exhibitions of various contents and take part in many exhibition projects in collaboration with other museums in the region. Various thematic interactive events are available for everyone.

  • 2. Bulvarnaya Street

    Bulvarnaya Street, located along the banks of the Cheremukha River, is a favorite place for walking residents of Rybinsk and visitors to the city.

    Reconstruction of Bulvarnaya Street in Rybinsk was carried out in 2023-2024. The entire street is paved with stone paving stones, and there is a landscaped park along the roadway. According to old photographs, a wooden veranda decorated with sawn carvings has been restored, where a buffet is located. There is a lower tier along the Cheryomukha River: wooden swings and a pier for boats and catamarans are installed. There is a yoga area, and poetry evenings are held there in the summer. In the center of Bulvarnaya Street is a rotunda, under the arches of which various events take place, including concerts by the Shatsky Orchestra on Saturdays and Fridays (in August 2025), as well as events in celebration of the City Day, such as poetry courtyards, quizzes, workshops and book presentations. In summer, chess tables are installed on Bulvarnaya Street, they are available to everyone.

The main attraction of the Yaroslavl region is a constellation of 12 ancient cities: Yaroslavl, Gavrilov-Yam, Danilov, Lyubim, Myshkin, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Poshekhonye, Rostov the Great, Rybinsk, Tutaev, Uglich and the flooded Mologa. Each of them has its own unique appearance and atmosphere.
